Ever since I was very little I longed to create. I wanted to take it all in and show the world how I see things. I started photography as a hobby in 2004, and taught myself by way of an old photography textbook and a Nikon FG 35mm film camera. I have worked as a freelance photographer since 2005, photographing weddings, special occasion photography, and portraiture.
Photography allows me to document and savor the world around me. Each photograph brings me back to another place and time. Sometimes, photographs that didn’t seem like much at the moment they were taken become so much more. Sometimes, they become a memorial for a loved one that we didn’t expect to go so soon. Sometimes, they become a reminder of how far we have come on a personal journey. Sometimes, they become a reminder of how fleeting, wonderful and precious life really is. And this is WHY I do what I do.
I am a photographer to document those special moments in your life. I want to be able to take a snapshot (literally and figuratively) of your life, in YOUR moment, for you to cherish and share.
My husband and I moved to Oregon in 2012 to be closer to his family. We now live in Springfield, Oregon with our son, daughter and cats in a cute little farmhouse. Though I grew up right outside of a big city (Philadelphia), my heart took root here in Oregon.
